Your first visit will typically involve a complete and dilated eye exam which may take up to 1-2 hours. If you are being evaluated for LASIK, glaucoma, or cataracts, the doctor may perform some additional testing for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Dilating drops are used to enlarge your pupils to allow the ophthalmologist to get a better view of the inside of your eye. Dilating drops can cause blurry vision for several hours. You should make arrangements for someone to drive you home after your appointment if necessary.
You will need to fill out our new patient forms upon arrival to the office. Please remember to bring your insurance and referral information so that we can enter it into our system.
