Our comprehensive eye care services include the latest treatments for common and not-so-common eye conditions including:

Dry eye

Blepharitis

This is an inflammatory condition of the eyelids that also can cause symptoms of dry eye. Blepharitis typically occurs when oil glands from inner eyelids become inflamed. Symptoms include dry eye, burning, and red, itchy eyelids that may look oily and crusty. Learn more…

Diabetic retinopathy

Diabetic retinopathy results from damage to the blood vessels in the retina, a thin and delicate structure in the back of the eyes. Damage is caused by poorly controlled blood sugar in diabetic patients. Symptoms include blurriness, dark areas of vision, floaters and difficulty perceiving colors. In severe cases, blindness can occur. Advanced cases may require laser treatment, injections, or surgery. Chocron Eye Center uses specialized diagnostic imaging equipment as part of a detailed diabetic eye examination to identify retinopathy. Learn more…

These cells normally pump fluid out of the cornea to keep it clear and dehydrated, but when they get damaged, fluid build-up causes the cornea to become swollen. Vision becomes cloudy or hazy and tiny blisters on the outer corneal cell layer can cause eye pain. Learn more…

As we age, our crystalline lens becomes harder and less malleable, which makes it difficult to focus on nearby objects. Presbyopia symptoms include the need to make reading material clearer by holding it at arm’s length, blurred vision at normal reading distance and eyestrain from reading. Presbyopia can cause headaches, too. There are many ways to achieve presbyopia correction. Presbyopia treatment includes either nonprescription or prescription eyeglasses, contact lenses and, rarely, presbyopia surgery. Learn more…
